This week I wanted to share a song with you that has sent actual shivers down my spine. The video is for the song “Gallows” by the group CocoRosie. This musical group consists of two sisters who create songs so unique and chilling they have been classified in obscure musical subgenres including “New Weird American” and “Freak Folk”. In particular, the song “Gallows” has a very witchy tone to it, both in its musical styling and lyrical content. CocoRosie has paired this eerie song with a very fitting music video that narrates the unfortunate events of a forbidden love. Enjoy!
